Two years ago I had surgery on my foot and had the muscle on the back of my leg lengthened. I lost most of the muscle tone in my leg so I walked with a limp. I could hardly stand to wear any type of dress shoes unless they had a very low heel. I am a sales representative for a hospital equipment company and part of my job is to attend trade shows. I dreaded going to these shows. I knew I would have to stand on my feet all day long. I would start off the day in cute 2” heels, and about noon I would put on low heels, then I would head back to my hotel room in tennis shoes. This year is the first year I am able to walk without a limp and wear small heels all day long; tennis shoes are not necessary. My leg muscle is still smaller than the other but it has come a long way and I am sure it soon will be better than before.

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis many years ago, and I had been taking Fosamax (with no improvement), then Fosamax and Evista together (also with no improvement for years). I can show you the miserable results of the bone density tests I have taken over the years.

I stopped taking the osteoporosis drugs eight or nine months ago because I developed a bad case of acid reflux disease…took Nexium…
Stopped taking that when I learned that Nexium interferes with the body’s ability to absorb calcium…kept taking my calcium and Vitamin D pills as I had been for years, and kept my SuperSlow Zone exercise program, twice a week, every week.

Then I decided to have another bone density test…and what do you think? There was a 6-7% improvement in my bone density, both in the spine and in the hips.

Although I was not a 69lb weakling before I started working out at SuperSlow, I had very little strength in my arms, and when I broke my left wrist, things got worse. That has all changed. I’m able to lift, carry, handle tools-do everything thanks to SuperSlow Zone training. I love the fact that you work out with a trainer next to you –to be sure your form is good and to recognize when it’s time to increase your weights, or time on the machines, as well as to know when you’ve had enough. I have had declining bone density for my previous 4 yearly scans. My last one showed improvement in both the hip and spine scans which was a great relief to me since I have resisted using either a bone prescription which I couldn’t tolerate well, or hormones.
